Value?
No, it doesn't make it worth more for our cars when it comes to reselling... I would say it is depreciating at about the same rate as other luxury coupes in its class, if not a bit more. Are you looking to sell?
Naw I dont want to sell now I love my CLS right now! I just had a mechanic where I got my alignment done and he was telling me I had a nice car, and I went on to tell em about they only made em from 01-03 thats all.
Discontinued models usually go up in value RIGHT after production ends. There are still a few out there that would really like to own the car. Supply and demand. Now a few years later with other cars being out there (bigger and better) the demand has gone down.
For a discontinued car I think the value of the CL is doing pretty well. The 2nd gen TL also suffers with all the add ons the 3rd has. The best bet is to sell the car to an enthusiest who is looking for a certain model.

Oh word hell yea you hit it on the head right there, thats the response i was lookin for. You would think that the value would be somewhat better for resale since they dicontinued the model? Also I was told the only way you would be able to make some money on the vehicle is if it was garaged only had like 5k on the block and it is 2020!!
this isn't a ferrari or lamborghini.. the value is depreciating moreso because it is a relatively unknown model as well.. G35's will sell for much higher, and now that there's altima coupe's, G37's, 328i/335i, and the upcoming 1 series, i doubt your depreciation will get any better

Value is decreasing... My CL has lost more then 60% in the past 5 years since I bought it... Mostly beause it's a discontinued coupe with a manual transmission. I paid 29,450 for it back in Oct 2002, and it's got 69K miles on it now.
Only the low mileage, cleanest examples are retaining more value than most CL's... and even then the prices are dropping.
Just look up Kbb, Edmunds, Nada, etc to see where the values are...
Other cars from it's time have better depreciation curves (check out prices/values on 04 TL's or G35c's for example).
I'm only losing about 1K per year in value now on my CL, verses the 4-5K per year from when I originally bought it. It's worth keeping since it's paid for, and it's only worth maybe 12-13K in trade (at most).

They'll always be people looking for CLS's tho, and they will be willing to pay a premium for the right color in decent condition...
The Legend 6spd coupes enjoy a cult like following, an the CLS 6spd might also, but prices haven't shown that yet...
