VAFC- gains? and plug and play adapter?

One of my friends is selling off a lot of his parts from his car, and he has a VAFC. I was wondering if anyone has these on their car, and if there are any gains? whether it be hp gains, mpg gains, anything. Or if they're even worth it. Also, are the VAFC II's that much better? Should I just hold out for one of those?

Also, i have heard of there being plug and play adapters for them. Is there one for our cars? (my friend has his wired.) Thanks!

I have yet to get a clear answer from anyone as to whether there is an issue with the CL-S ecu and the VAFC, but the guy who has built and tuned my last 4 cars said he could put one in and tune it so i dont see why it wouldnt work. The VAFC allows you to change the fuel adjustments every 500 RPMs and the VAFC2 allows adjustments every 200 RPMs. I used a VAFC2 in my H22 accord and an SAFC2 in my turbo CRX and i liked them both, but id almost rather try a VAFC just because the tuning might be easier....that and my buddy gave me one for free.

Who is this guy that sells PNP harnesses for us and is it for VAFC I or II ???

About there being issues with the first 2 VAFCs compared to the NEO...they all do the exact same thing. There is nothing about one of them that would make it not work in comparison to any of the others. Boomslang makes a harness for the NEO for us, but they can make any harness we need for the same price. I was given a free VAFC I from a friend and boomslang quoted me $150 shipped for a custom harness for it to adapt to my car...so i am going to give it a shot. I have a wideband so if something adjusts I would know. I will start a new thread after I get it tuned to help everyone in deciding what to use for tuning.
