V1 mount locations

I did a search, but couldn't come up with anything. I'm about to hardwire my V1, but first I wanted to know what the general consensus was with the location of the V1. It looks like a lot of you put the V1 pretty much right under the rear view. Will that be enough clearance for a line of sight through the rear windshield? If anybody has pics of where they have theirs mounted and have had good experience with it, that would be helpful too.

Just make sure it's level and at the center of your car. Also make sure there is a clear view straight out the back window. From what I'm told, that's the best location. It's always worked for me and my V1.

Also on the TSX forum a member did a V1 hardwire. I don't know if there is enough clearance out of your rear view mount for this.

That's a pretty nice install.

I have mine clipped to my passenger side rear view mirror and it functions fine there. It's out of site and not obvious.
