Need some quick Info.

Hey People, If installing 95 Legend LS calipers on the front of an 01 CLS, should I buy break pads that fit the 01 CLS? or should I buy break pads that fit the 95 legend LS? someone may have already posted this question and if so, sorry for the repeat. Can anyone tell me?

May have my answer

I just read more and I think I found the answer, if I am using 95 legend calipers on an 01 CLS with 01 caliper brackets, then I should be using CL brake pads right?? someone please confirm.

You can use either. Both should work. The brackets should be similar. To be safe, use the CL ones.

bracket is similar but does not fit the CL, you gotta use the CL bracket. i paid an extra $150 for loaded calipers and you cannot use the remanufactured brackets.. they are quite useless.

Then they are different from the NSX calipers I had. For me they were a direct swap. The NSX calipers fit on the CL bracket, or on the NSX bracket. Both fit on the CL without a problem.

Sorry to revive this thread, but I'm gonna be doing the upgrade myself on my Accord and wanted to know if anyone had difficulty getting their core fee back. Do they actually check to see if its a single vs dual piston caliper? I went to Advance today and they had full color photos of the part on the screen.

those jokers don't care if it's the right part or not. most of the time they just look in the box really quickly to make sure the core is in there.

Badass. I just went into PepBoys and ordered these things. I've been debating whether I should do it myself or if I should take it to a shop. How long does it take to swap these in? Also if I do it myself, will I have to bleed the system (dumb question I know)?

Yes you would have to bleed the brakes because your taking the brake line off the caliper and air will get into the brake system

Ah, okay. In that case I'll pick up an extra bottle of super blue for the bleeding. I'll take some pics to show how things go once I get the calipers in.
