Updated Group Buy: 01-03 CL POLY-URETHANE Lip Kit

can this be made a sticky

This is for a group buy on the Polyurethane lip kit(pics below) for the 01-03 CL

We need to get this rolling and need someone to start this thing. I would but i wont be around the computer much over the next few days.

The normal price of this kit is $710 +$50 Shipping

Groupbuy pricing: (group buy ends MAY 30th)

-10 people $600 +$50 shipping
-20 people $495 +$50 shipping!!!!

we finally have a quailty kit at a GREAT price, lets get this going and take advantage of something alot of us have wanted ever since we first saw the SEMA CLS a few years ago!!

Also check out http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...hreadid=102601 for more pics as well as some from a member who went and saw the kit in person.

For those of you who don't know this is poly kit which means it won't dent, crack, or break. We already have about ten people so right now the kit is $600+50 shipping. If we can get some more people it will be cheaper... (see above) Again if you have a lowered car this is the kit. I have a pro-kit drop and I scrape my nose from time to time, but this kit won't fall apart. Check the large post for more info. And if you want it, go to the Black Market Forum and put your name on the list.

Ultimac: U wouldn't have pics of your ride would you? I have the pro-kit as well and was wondering how low the kit would be off the ground?

Don't have pics, and I haven't gotten the kit yet, I'm waiting for the group buy. Do you have factory shocks? I got konis and I swear that they lifted my car up some, due to the sag in the factory shocks. However I could lower it ride on the lower perch setting but that would be slammed..

I am guessing these dont come painted?

if not, how much does it cost to get a quality painted Aegean blue for the kit?

Thanks

Ok paint and installation depends on your local bodyshop, I would guess less than $500. for paint and install. Talk to a
bodyshop near you....

Oh my bad, I thought you had the kit. I'm still running on stock shocks. I just got the Pro-kit a week ago & the week before that I got some 18's....so $$$$ is a bit tight now. In a month or 2 I plan on getting the Konis. How much of a gap do you have with your Konis? On stock shocks I have a 2 finger gap all around.

I'm interested in the kit, but I'm not sold on the rear. I dont like the way it looks and also that it overlaps over our rear bumper. The $495 price is great & it's the only reason why I'm still considering getting it...

The only pics so far are the 2 above and then the 2 different sets in that original message. The pics by soopa of the Eagle One CLS and the pics taken by a member who went and saw the kit and the shop and held it up next to his CLS.

As for cost of installation, that is gonna vary depending how how you do it and where you take it. its gonna need to be preped and painted. Some may choose to have it molded to the car for a more smooth look, but that will cost xtra. The pics above are with the kit just painted and attached using the 3M tape

2 finger gap all around although back is a little tighter, that depends on how fat your fingers are though, what rims did you get? I have stock for now w/ 235/45 kumhos. If i had a lower sidewall (40) I might have more space. I also took my box out and spare tire, my car was low before. If you put the konis on the lower perch it might rub.
I plan on getting the kit molded, depending on cost difference. Might see if they can shave the door handles too. Might have to wait on some of this but I'm definetly getting the kit.

what i dont like about it, is the rear too, its for a CL-P.

wtf is their problem. only one exhaust :/

so if I buy it, I have to have the bodyshop create another hole for my other exhaust.

i know it's hard to see in that picture, but there are 2 cut outs for the exhaust., you can barley see it.. there are other pictures around so you can see it.. and it's called the type P,.. not made for typeP.... the cls/clp are the same exterior dimensions.

lets' hurry eveyone.. the deadline is comming up soon.

please don't flame on the kit.. it's all personal opinions...
this company has spent alot of $$ to make a quality kit avaliable for us..
there has been enough questioning the kit and the manufacturer on other threads,.. this is for the group buy and lets keep it that way.

if your waiting for a better kit, keep waiting.

Anyone know the size of those cut outs? I need to make sure my HKS "Cannons" will fit in there. If not how much custom work would it take?

Thanks,

Thanks but no kit for me, i think the CLS looks good without a kit and what ever happened to the onderground SEMA kit?.. but i was only judging from one pic, im interested in seeing other members cars when they have it installed...but good luck and i have to admit $600 is a good price for a 4 piece kit.

I called Garret this afternoon to find out about payment options..

he would perfer to have money orders or bank checks from each person mailed to him by certified mail... but i explained that may be hard to do. i asked about taking personal cc payments from each person, and he would prefer not to do that.

If money order sound good to you guys then let me know, otherwise, maybe we could arrange to have payment in one paypal account? .....how should we do this guys?..

i need to get a set list of people who want the kit and are in for sure. i need to get their #'s and names so that i can fax the list to Garret.

if you in for sure please email me your acl id, name, phone #, and what parts you want. to

cwang@novus-tele.net

for the canadian buyers (me included) there will be extra shipping and duties charges. for those who are only getting part of the kit, i didn't ask garret about shipping on each piece, but i will on tueday.

here is the list so far:

For money orders, I use western union's website(or www.bidpay.com-same thing). They charge a nominal fee for processing, but it's safer than picking one up at the Post Office & mailing it.

Good luck guys. I decided against.

Lowered and pretty, I don't need a kit. The kit takes away a bit of class I think. I am trying hard to not fall prey to mod madness. $1K (paint and install incl.) is a few good engine mods).
