update (w/vids)

Just about done with the wideband set up. http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.htm

Did I few revs to check air/fuel, egt, and boost levels. It seems to be running rich at this point. My next move is to get the tranny temp and fuel pressure meters installed, along with hiding all these wires. There are 2 videos there, pay attention to the values.

Yeah I really like the box look better, I plan on just putting it on the steering column with some black velcro. I had to go individual gauges for the tranny temp/fuel pressure. This is the style I went with: http://autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail...id=3671&sid=66 I think it looks really clean with my black interior. The install in a pain in the ass if you don not have a lift and do not know how to weld bungs. You pretty much have to take the j pipe off to weld bungs for egt/wideband. Also have to tap into a few wires in your ecu. This system is all about data logging and knowing what your car is doing at all times. PNP?

Not exactly sure, but I am pretty sure I will not have to drill/tap anything. There should be a spot for it.

Do you have a tranny cooler installed? If there isnt a spot on the tranny itself, you may be able to tap into the output line to get a reading.

That is a good idea, I will have to start poking around the tranny to get a better idea to where it will go.

It's cool...I don't use the EDFC much because I'm lowered so much that I have to keep it on the stiffest setting.

Overall though...

I think it's a really cool setup and it has a cool little controller to mount in the car if your gadget happy.

Don't know if that helps you...

Are you running the HBP or regular pulley? Looks like the HBP since I saw the boost spike up to 6.1 psi. Are you tuned on anything yet? Did you do the install yourself, if so, how hard was the ECU wiring/soldering/splicing?

Sounds great! Props man

The pulley is custom 3.3 inches. I had the boost at 8lbs just by reving it up after it warmed longer. I suspect under load it will hit 10lbs. I am currently not tuned, due to the confusion of the AEM F/ic. The game plan was get some feedback from jproy about the AEM, then make a move from there. But since the AEM is having crazy timing issues it looks like Greddy emanage blue might be my only option at this point. Also I am still on stock injectors, which have to be swapped out for R/C's if I want to see full potential. No I did not do this myself, between me, my neighbor (very knowledgeable about cars), and my mechanic we all contributed. And I can not forget Jproy (jim) helped me out with alot of tech questions, he was deff the go to guy when I ran into a problem. The wires are not that big of a deal, as long as you know what gets connected to what. The act of splicing and reconnecting is not that hard, just time consuming if your want it to be done right. The next update should be some dyno numbers, and thanks

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I'll probably be joining the boosted club soon and will probably get the emanage blue as well unless someone on here or my tuner is able to see better results using something else. I was thinking about upgrading to larger injectors like you but will probably do that after the hbp is installed. I'm a 6spd btw.
