Unichip+colder weather
Has anyone experienced any abnormalities with the Unichip in colder weather? I'm not sure if it's the winter gas or a high A/F ratio. The idle seems to dip under 500 RPMS and the car starts to shake as if it's going to stall. Also, the start-ups seem to be much rougher and longer than usual. The unichip is now out and the car idles fine and starts up right away. I first thought it was the battery, but now I'm not so sure. Anyone else experiencing this? Or maybe provide some insight?

I'm starting to feel like the car is running out of steam in the upper RPM's .. I fear that the extra oxygen in the winter gas and the denser, colder air is once again making the chip go lean.

yes, I just drove from NJ to south carolina and back. Recorded excellent gas mileage. 400+ a tank .. but that is only proof of the leaning .. more air less gas, better mileage ![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I'm not WORRIED, cause I know the ecu will retard timing and prevent any damage from the lean condition but still, I'm not getting all my power and I didnt pay 600$ for that. I thoguht at first that it was feeling slower because I took off my light summer wheels and switched to stock 17s and new all seasons but now I'm noticing how the engine sounds and feels at high rpm.
