Underbody lights

Hey yea I got an Acua Cl type-S 2003 and i wanted to get some underbody lights put on it for christmas but the people who said that they could only do it for the front and back bc the sides were curved under. The only wat rhar I could get some lights under my car on teh sides would be to bend the underside, but my dad said it would ruin teh structral integrity of my car, so no dice. Anyone else try to do this asnd if so what did u do to get the lights under?

Welcome aboard! You will find many differnt people here that all like very differnt things and some seem subject to groupthink, but by using "search" function like Elliot suggested, you can peruse a couple years of posts and find info on almost anything to do with our car. I hope you enjoy your new ride, sure is a nice one.

My car is already dropped. i got an ellipse spoiler on the back and i got a 3 10 inch system in teh back. I think teh underbody lights look awsome. so im thinking that if i get soem side skirts tehn the underbody lights would fit. but then my car would be too low and be a hassel. so then i would want to get a hydrolic system that is like 2 grand. i also want to get a cold air intake and some new headers but my dad says my car is fast enough already. he is a downer

Black CLS-4-LIFE: Are you suggesting that underbody neons are ricey? I know they dont make the car faster, however I believe they add an appeal to the car if done properly. My interior neons highlight my system while the exterior neons highlght my bodykit? Any remarks? i would be interested in hearing an extended version of your views.

I agree with AcurajL, when done right on a show car like his (and maybe wesleys car ) an under body neon kit looks pretty good IMO. but please, no clear tails!

It's not just black cls-4-life. Alot of other guys do not like all that neon under, or in a car like the CLS. May be ok for a show car, that doesn't spend alot of time on the roads. But makes no sense on a $30K car used every day.

AcurajL, I have no problem with neons on your car because its a show car and very well done I may add. However, if its a daily driver I'm sorry underbody neons are just plain rice...

get a kit then do it if you're going to...I think with the way the body currently is, you'd be able to see the bulds...a no no no for the coppers.

Thanks for the input I thought I was going to have to go buy a steamer for ALL my RICE....whew! I went as far as NOT putting strobes becuase that goes above and beyond the limits of show and far into the Rice Fields. But what about Lambo doors, is that taking it too far? Plus for the NEONS, at these shows there are 500 dollar purses for best NEONS too $$$$$$

I had some strobe lights 10, until they got wet, they were POS
I didnt think it was ricey, not like I had a big spoiler or nasty body kit.
I think there better than neons.

I had never seen them until I got them.

Underglow lights are a typical Ricer stereotype. I like them, but won't get them because of the stereotype. If they're done right though, they can look hot.

Underbody neon is totally rice and (considering that you mention your Dad letting you do stuff) I am guessing that you are pretty young. If it is your car and you are over 18 and YOU paid for it then do what you want with it. I don't know you so I won't brand you a "troll" like some people around here. I will say that interior or exterior neon is IMO one of the worst things you can do to your car if you don't want to look rice. I mean come on...unless you are hyping this to be in car shows every weekend then why would you want them? I am all for "show AND go" but not rice.

Titand...do what you want to your car, if you mod it so everyone else like it, where is the fun in that?

SE had strobes in his headlights, they looked good...

I dont think the lambo doors are rice...you should get them. I've been chatting with a vertical door part maker and they are looking into doing a kit for our car. I've been putting lots of pressure on..(been laying off for awhile now though...dont want to piss them off). But if/when it comes out, I plan on getting it...its something that I think looks bad@$$ IMO
