Under Warranty?

Are windshields under warranty? One of my wiper blades broke over the winter bc of ice and the metal lining in them came out and started scratching my windshield. (couldnt stop in the snow and take it off) Before I could replace them I noticed a silver streak on my windshield from it being scratched going back and forth from the metal rubbing against my windshield.

Can this be replaced under warranty.....or is there a glass compound i can buy that anyone knows of?

thanks

Not a warranty issue. You have to fix on your own.

Based on the fact the wiper came apart (defect) due a foreseeable problem (ice) and damaged another part (winsdhield) during the warranty period, I would give it a shot. All they can do is say: NO.
Good Luck!!

check with your insurance. I know that in Mass and here in New Mex the insurance cover wind shield replacement.

Definitely check with insurance. This may be repairable and you may not have to change the windshield (don't know for sure). Take it to a glass place that does glass repairs and ask if it's repairable. If it is, insurance will almost always cover it without any out of pocket expenses for you. If they have to replace the windshield, you may need to pay the comprehensive deductible.

Did try to get the dealer to warranty the problem with my scenerio?
How many miles on your car?
I still think it might work if the part under warranty caused the other damage!
