this is unbelievable

my moonroof visor fell off of the car on the turnpike, and it bent up the metal on one side where it was attached, and then as it came off the visor deep scratched a whole section of the roof. I brought it to acura, and they are bringing it to a body shop to make the roof look new again. They will be fixing the bent metal sticking up, and are going to repaint the whole hood with the original acura black color. Anything I should be worried about, overspray and all...should I just clay bar the car when I get it back.

How the HELL fast were you going to cause this to happen?
I'd love to see PICS of what it did.

PS.... After the car is fixed, leave it OFF.
They scratch the heck out of the paint.

I was going 70, by the way, I dont have any pictures, its getting fixed at the body shop and should be done in a few days, I am leaving it off, i think it looks better, plus I guess I wont have the scratch marks from where the visor used to be, since they are repainting it.

I hope the color will match well with the rest of the car and they dont overspray, would claying the car after be a good idea?

The sunroof barley opens as it is...that visor makes the opening even smaller....keep it off!

they are leaving it off, well at least I told them to leave it off. No pics, the body shop is repainting the whole roof.

I will be getting a new visor though since I originally paid for it, but I will just keep it at home.
