Uhh.. okay...

So my transmission started to die on my a couple weeks ago at 37,000 miles. No big deal, somewhat expected obviously.

When I got my car back it drove really well, no problems at all. However, after only about 20 miles my check engine light came on. I brought it back into Acura and apparently it needs another new transmission! I didn't know this kind of thing still Happened after they fixed the design flaw.

Has anyone else gotten a new transmission that was supposedly a redesigned one and had it fail on them?

I dont understand how a company who can build such solid, powerful VTEC engines could design quite possibly the crappiest tranny known to the automotive world

Interesting follow up on this. Acura called the next day and said that they didn't have to replace the transmission after all, they just replaced the selenoid valve and the "linear c and shaft a" whatever that is. It fixed the problem. Go figure.
