ugly rust (w/ pics)

ugly rust (w/ pics)

the damn rust behind my rear wheels, its there rain or shine and i think its even more noticable now that i have my 19's on

take a look....




the rotors rust up when wet but its knocked off after using the brakes. but the part rusted in the pics are driving me crazy...

what can i do to fix this? besides buying a whole new set up of course.

I didnt know if painting it would pose a problem or not. Im not too handy but I can definetely do that....

anyone have a suggestion as to what type of paint I should get or will some black rustoleum be fine?

sand it down and just use some paint, a ceramic paint would do fine.

I just painted mine yesterday along with the calipers. I used the Duplicolor caliper painting kit, it was a lot easier than spray paint.

OK maybe not easier...but a lot quicker. Its brushed on so your done in less time than it would have taken to just mask off one wheel well.

So...seeing as how Rotora's rotor hubs already come painted black, and rust, would it be wise to paint OVER their paint for more protection before they are initially installed? I hope that makes sense.
