Type -SR hits the street

The streets of south Florida have been invaded by the 1st of a new series of the Type-S, known as the Type-SR. This car sports a normally aspirated 3.5L V6 producing 315HP in Gen I version and 335HP in Gen II version. 6 orders are confirmed for production and 2 MDX High Performance conversions (290-310HP) are slated for April production as well.

If you are interested in reclaiming the 0-60 and 1/4 mile lead from the BMW 330 CI stick for upto $5000.00 less, contact me via email at syncivic@aol.com.

These cars are another milestone of the Propulsion Laboratory at Rick Case Acura, the worlds largest Acura dealer.

You can do it either way, the current orders are for new ones but the parts content is the same, just some additional bore prep on a miled block will be required...no change in price.

I'm just wondering...if you get this done to the motor and comptech comes out with their supercharger...will the supercharger still work or be compatible?

1. Please list "beefed-up" components to handle the new found power.

2. How is warrantee handled (or is it)?

3. Is transmission modified or upgraded?

I have some of the same concerns that Eric L stated above.

1)I understand that Rick Case provides warrantee protection for this modification, right? So, what happens to out of state purchaser?

2)On the comptech supercharger thread you alluded to the transmission problems of the type-s tranny, right? So what transmission modifications are done on this kit, and is that included with the kit price or is it separate?

3)Since, you have hp #'s do you also have dyno results to support this claim?

TIA
