That ride was in an accident. Look at the color difference between the front fender and the rest of the car. Taking into consideration the angle of the shot, and the direction of the light source. There is no reason why the fender should be so much darker. Look at the head on shot. The passenger side fender is darker than the hood and the other fender. And again in the "other photos", the shot taken from the right rear, facing forward. I don't think Jim and Janine are telling us everything about this car.

Ok, so it has a fender bender, but it doesn't look as though it was in a huge crash ! I buy, that the coupe is not for a new small family. We all get hasty and buy things perhaps we should not have, including a car ! The pictures are NOT the best either, as I don't think it was done with a quality digital camera..

However, what I noticed is the dealership sticker on the front windshield. You get those in california, while waiting for your lic. plates. It doesn't take 10,0000 miles ! Something does stink......

Yeah! And those wedding pictures look fake too! And I can tell by the grin, he's slept with all the bridesmaids - yeah, that's it!

You guys can certainly read alot into crappy digital photos...why doesn't someone email the guy and see if it has been crashed?

In every photo, from every angle, the right front fender is a completely different shade compared to the other body panels. I won't email him, because I am not interested in the car. Just posting my opinion, given the evidence. There are a lot of future owners hovering about. I was just throwing up a red flag.

Hell, who has an open Carfax account. The seller posted the VIN.

congrats guys. u hit the nail on the head!
i entered his VIN and zip code (33602) into the www.carfax.com database and it came up with "1 important vehicle history record". meaning: it probably got smashed up a bit. good eye LuckyCL. ...investigative work done.

The accident probably won't show up on carfax... the guy probably fixed it himself or had a freiend do it. Or maybe the Mexican lady's cousin. Whover did, it was a lousy job. It even looks like the guy put the car in a differnet lighting position to make it less obvious. Imagine how terrible it looks in person.

My question....................

I have a friend who may be interested in bidding on your CL-S.
I have one of these cars and I know it is a great machine.

One question....

Has this vehicle ever been in any type of accident?
The front passenger side fender looks like the paint doesn't match.

Please verify.

Thanks,
Shawn

His answer.................

Shawn,

No, it has not been in an accident. I believe you can verify that with the
VIN number.

Regards,
Jim Lamb

hey look what carfax said about his car when i put in the VIN

. The Carfax database contains 1 important vehicle history records about this 2001 Acura 3.2 CL Type-S.

2. IMPORTANT! These 1 records confirm a clean history or reveal costly hidden problems such as:

Salvage history?
Odometer fraud?
Flood damage?
Multiple owners?
Major accident damage?
Fire damage?

ALERT! 1 in 10 cars in the Carfax Database has a costly hidden problem.

3. Learn the details about this 2001 Acura 3.2 CL Type-S , or any other vehicle you are considering buying, by ordering the complete Carfax Vehicle History Report.

somethings up w/ this car don't buy it.

It could just as easily be showing that it has a clean record. Carfax will clearly position anything like this so that you pay the $10 to get the information. I think you guys are wrong - I think that you are looking at shadows on the car. But frankly, who cares. We're not buying the car.
