TYPE-S door sills.....

i have asked this before....but one thing that i would love to get my hands on is a pair of custom door sills...chromed with TYPE-S engraved on them.
My best friend has a 2001 325ci and it comes with what i am looking for our cars....such a clean and classy entrance to a luxury car unlike our cheap plastic look that gets nasty shoe prints on it and shit like that.

Would anyone agree??

Anyone interested in this??

Can anyone help us with this???...I know TL.com sells the Inspire door sills..but enough with that...i want ***TYPE-S*** sills!!!

Help me out here fellas...this is a nice little interior upgrade for those who are crazy about details like me.

Actually that would be awesome. I would definitely get something like that, as long as its made with a classy style.

I would only go for it if the text was a true Acura font.

Like, if it was our actual Type-S symbol... or just ACURA.

But yea, I want metal door sills badly.

well...everyone seems to be agreeing that this could be a real nice addition to the interiors/entrance of our CL-S, and definetly in ACURA font or " TYPE-S" ......now the only question is who do we ask.

Maybe Ron from StreetEffects???

what do you think?

i am gonna drop an email to him..see what he thinks......everyone who is interested, keep posting here.

If he someone says they can help us..it would be nice to be able to give the guy some numbers on just how many people are interested.

don't you know that HONDA of Japan doesn't like us ! Most all high end Honda's in Japan have them ! Also, most all high end HONDA'S have NAVI Systems ! That includes the Japanese Civic version ! Camera's and all !
Keep in mind there is NO ACURA IN JAPAN !

I would be interested too !

I wanted these for the longest time for my TL-S in metal, not cheap plastic. I agree either just Type-S or Acura in the OEM fonts would probably be the cheapest and most profitable way to make these sills.

Acura would probably be the best so it would benefit CL-P/CL-S/TL-P/TL-S owners and maybe more cars in the lineup as well. (Anyone know if the doorsill for the Tl and Cl are the same or is the CL's longer?)The more possible sales the greater the likelihood someone would be more willing to do the R&D on it, and get it to market, also the price might be cheaper if the market is bigger for it.

I really wanted the indiglo style which is optional on Merecedes and BMW, I have also seen them for the Land Cruiser on Ebay. All high quality full metal pieces. I contacted several people about getting them made for our car, but everyone said they had no plans to make them for our car anytime soon.

So I just sucked it up and got the Inspire ones. If an "Acura" one becomes available in high quality metal pieces like the Inspire ones, I would be interested as well.

There was a guy on the TL board that made his own with Indiglo. They might have even had a metal plate in it too (brushed aluminum style), but I know he did all the work, and it was VERY time consuming.

The best part was once it was done...it looked SWEET!!

As I've already posted, I'm in. I just hope that we do not insist on "Type-S" being stamped on the scuff plates. I could care less about what it says and besides, I'd think some Premium owners might like them also. Chiefly I just want them for their utility. Next and a very distant second is their looks.
