Two 6-speed CL-S on CoPart

There are two CLS6s on CoPart right now. One is in Chicago, the other in Houston. One is a red flood, other is hit on the side and is black.

I would love to get one of these and do the 6speed swap because my tranny is slipping. Do you guys think the fact that it was flooded affected the transmission?

The flooded one shouldnt, the tranny is a closed system.
Dunno about the electronics though, especially if your planning to use the speedo or ECU

Can you buy just the tranny from Copart or do you have to buy the whole car? And as stated above you probably want the 6MT tac so theres no lights to show what gear your in.

aznboi-I do worry it might have fried the electricals as I would need to swap whatever I need from the car to mine.

mike-You buy the entire car, but I would need everything for an entire swap anyway and just a tranny is not enough

dont get the flooded one if ur buying it for the swap. The black one looks like it will be perfect for it.

nspec, that black one is in your town! Did you have a donor car for your conversion?

Im going to talk to some people that have copart accounts, however I don't think that black one's bids will stay low enough.

Imo i wouldn't purchase that particular vehicle for a tranny swap, since it probably has more wear & tear from the blower overall

Even with the damage to the interior? The rear seats have been pushed towards the driver side. The unibody itself had to have been damaged to allow that sort of movement.

yeah, remove the quarter panel and some pulling. Interior panels usually pop back in place once you pull the body back out.

there is an 09 TSX for sale locally with 30k miles, salvage title, hit on the passenger side, for only 11k. The dash has moved a little towards teh driver side and the glove box doesnt open any more. Someone repaired it already, but did a shitty job. Even then its still worth the price, i'm thinking about picking that up.
