tv tuner?

What brand/model TV tuner should I get to interface w/my navi?

If anyone has a TV tuner in their car, does it get good reception? Where does the antenna go/mount?

Don't even bother! I'm not sure if you have any TV stations in a close mile radius of where you live, but if you don't you will be VERY disappointed, especially when you are on the move, reception stinks. There are a couple tuners that lock onto signals, but even at that, you'll only get a few channels to come in good.

On the other hand, if you get a tuner that has multiple inputs, you can hook a lot of other things into your navi and it will work like a video switcher and you can hook other monitors into it and things of the sort.

any way to get dss in the car?
that would be hype!

i know you would basically need a dish that would be pointing (south west in my city)..are there any Mini Mini dishes you can have mounted and something that turns with your turns to stay locked on a signal?

is this technology out yet?..or am i dreaming?

There was a guy out here who had DSS in his car at shows. I couldn't imagine it working while he was moving. The dish was huge and suction cupped on his back window.

i dont think you would have a problem if you had a dish that is motorized to move to face the right way whenever you turn.

They make DSS dishes that can stay on taget, they make them for motor homes, but the cost like a grand.
