I was wondering about this too! He didn't say in that thread whether or not he was able to still have the mirrors be heated though??

Time for custom work. IMO, 100% unnecessary.

Sure it is...but most body mods ARE unnecessary. You don't do it because you NEED it, you do it because you LIKE it! If you can only do it custom, not sure if I'd want to spend the $$ just for that though...

What does that have to do with anything?

just saying that this method plus giving the other driver the eye lets them know you're moving towards them.
of course, there's no guarantee no matter what, that either doing that^ or these mirrors with signals, that other drivers to see you.

True.

Also, IMO, it makes the side mirrors stand out. They are big enough without emphersising them. It's like putting large hoop ear-rings on Dumbo.

I have had some experience with this mod. I have the TSX mirrors molded onto my OEM mirror base. I lost the heated mirror feature as well as the break away feature, but in my opinion it was worth it. I initially had the OEM TSX blinkers molded into my factory mirrors, and with that setup everything would have worked. However, I felt the mirror was too big and didnt look too good...here is a pic of it..

There is a company named Muth Mirrors that has the mirror itself with the led turn signal arrow in the mirror/glass itself.

I just checked: http://www.kwmuth.com/index.htm

They list the turn signal mirror just for the MDX. Unfortunately, it looks like the small mini wide angle attachment mirrors are the only option available for a CL. Looking at the instructions for the wide angle signal mirror the use of the heated feature isn't affected.

But the full replacement mirror isn't available for any Acura except for the MDX.
