from trunk rattle to moonroof rattle.....cause: system

so my little jl audio w7 was tearing apart my rear deck lid and trunk. rattles everywhere. i just got about 40lbs worth of dynamat put in and it cured all the rattles back there. now theirs only one problem. when my moonroof is fully shut and my stereo cranked, the fockin moonroof visibliy shakes looking from the outside of the car. almost looks like its gonna fall off the track.

some people said, dont be suprised if it does fall off the track. can anyone relate to this? i mean i wanted bass in my car, but not something thats gonna knock off my moonroof while im driving

when its on vent or fully open, its fine.

That suggestion is just too simple. Dynamat will help. But anyplace that you don't cover will start rattling next. So, if you plan on playing loud, and I think you do, look into doing most of the cabin and trunk while you're at it. And the moonroof will continue to shake. It's mounted on tracks that you will not be able to Dynamat. If you insist on a lot of bass, something will rattle. Next it will be the spoiler and tail-lights.

the whole trunk is done as well as the trunk lid and rear deck lid. i guess i will just have to live with it.

What..........only 23 year olds play loud music? Give me a break. If anything, older people play music louder (even jazz) due to gradual hearing loss. Your car is air tight and you're moving too much air--crack the roof open and share the love.

sorry, i dont think any older people have 2000 watt systems in their car.

anyway, unctype-s, i have the same exact problem. my whole trunk/rear end rattles like a bitch (but in the inside, the bass drowns out all the rattles)... then, a week or so ago, my moon roof started rattling, which IS very audible from inside the car. anyway....how much did the dynamat in the trunk help with the rattles?

I had a 10w6 in my cl that was pretty loud, then threw it in the back of my sound proof 7 and couldn't even hear it @ all. Now i have the exact same setup as you 500/1 and 10w7 and it friggen shakes my car up. can't imagine what it would do to a CL.

you will get rattles with a loud system...almost guaranteed. there is just too much air movement inside the car. But who cares? I cant hear anything bad inside the car, but I always turn it down at stop lights - I dont want to look like a jackass!

i have two and dont feel like its _that_ loud....do you think getting an aftermarket radio installed will totally change the way they sound? I have heard this on numerous occasions..also, i don have too many problems with rattles, and i plan on brown breading my whole car this summer.
