Tried to search but... (Icebox question)

I'm thinkin' about making the switch over to a ct icebox. I'm gettin' alil' tired of all the hissing, swooshing and whooshing of the CAI. (I'd like to hear a bit more from my pretty conservatively toned exhaust).

Also, with summer ending, I don't want to run the risk ... @ all of hydrolocking my beautiful custom spiderwebbing painted CL. I know I live in So-cal, and I'm probably just being paranoid cause it doesn't rain that often, but when it rains hard, it's scary.

Anyways. I'll definitely miss the WOT roar of the AEM, but I don't go into WOT enough. And I've read through old threads, saying that the icebox does give a little bit up in the VTEC range.

What I'll miss the most though is the intake "farting sound" that happens when you turn off the car.

Kinda dumb I know, but do you hear that sound with the icebox?

**It's not a requirement @ all, I'm probably going to end up making the switch before winter gets here anyway, fart sound or not... I just want to see if it happens @ all**

I have the icebox and yes it makes a noticeable "whoosh" when you turn the car off

And you have about a zero chance of sucking up water with the icebox

I do indeed Andy.

I just would like to hear the subtle exhaust alil' more over the hissing.

+ if I get alphawerks headers and there's resonance, I don't want to be trying to listen for exhaust + intake hissing + resonance. Too much sound.

My icebox doesnt hiss, burp, fart or anything. Sounds maybe 5% louder than stock, but gains were felt the entire powerband.

With the A/W headers, you'll see that you're gonna want your AEM back. The sound is amazing. my

resonance + hiss = good?

It's makin' me re-think this. Maybe I'll just ride my bike instead when it rains.
