Tricked-Out Civic Si for 19K?
My father was getting my mother's S2000 serviced today, and he was talking to one of the guys in finance. According to this finance guy (who my father knows well), he would give my father a Civic Si for about 14.5K . In addition, the dealership would replace stock headers and exhaust with those from Jackson Racing, and add Eibach springs and sways. Factoring in the mods, the Civic would go for an out-the-door price for about 19K. My father (like us all) is a little car crazy, and is mulling this deal over. So, a tricked-out Civic Si for 19K: go or no go?

Seriously you can get better cars for that money...if you're intrested in buying a turboed 240 i know some people trying to sell their turbo 240sx's with full suspension work, rims, engine work, electronics, etc

Just wait for the Civic Type R. Should be about the same price as that modded Si.

It would be a 2003 Civic Si. Actually, the upgraded headers and exhaust would be from Comptech, and the suspension parts (i.e. springs and sways) would be from Eibach.

Just got off the phone with a rep from Jackson racing. The supercharger for the Civic Si will boost hp by 40%. Thus, it would boost hp in the Si to about 220. Couple that with Comptech headers and exhaust, and you have a Civic Si pushing 230 hp. So, a 230 hp Civic Si for roughly 19K? A deal to take? A deal to pass up? Thoughts anyone?

They're putting the supercharger in too?
I haven't taken the time to price everything individually, but doesn't sound like a terrible deal to me.
Keep in mind, also, that anytime you ask about pricing on this forum you will have always paid too much because someone got a better deal (or thinks they can!)
I civic with 230 hp would smoke our cars and the handling of those little cars is quite fun!
Do you have the pricing of the car and mods broken down?

The Civic Si would be about 14.5K. That would live my dad about 5K to play with. The 5K would cover the headers, exhaust, springs, sways, and install of those parts. The supercharger does not come out until the end of this month, but when my dad found out that it increases hp by 40%, he said it would definitely be put in the Si. So, realistically, a modded out 230 hp 2003 Honda Civic Si would actually run about 21K.
