Exclamation Trans Dip has 3 holes 2 bottom 1 top?

I have been having trans problems for years, now im beginning to wonder if im just not using enough trans fluid. I have 2 holes at the bottom (i keep in between these) but i also have a hole toward the top, now im thinking maybe im supposed to be filling up past the 2nd hole and in between, theres around a half inch between the first 2 and about 6+ inches from the top to the middle bottom one.

any assistance is greatly appreciated, i bought this as a supposed OEM trans fluid dipstick (has yellow top) a few years back and i cant rememebr what the old one looked like but it seems to be around the same length.

You are suppose to use the two holes at the bottom. Refer to the attachment for the proper procedure. In addition, it is very important to be on level ground as mentioned:

thanks for confirming. So I check my fluid level after driving Freshly cleaned dipstick and I’m seeing fluid past the 2 dots half way up to the top dot. I know I have a trans problem but what does this mean that when it’s hot after running the fluid level is higher. Should o drain some out. Should I let it go cold and see if it’s still that far up ?

When on level ground, If the 'hot' level is above the second mark on the dipstick going up, the trans is overfilled.
I run mine, on my project CL-S, just a tad below the second mark level when hot.
It was way above the second mark when I purchased the car. I removed trans fluid via the dipstick tube with a large syringe and vinyl tubing that would slip down the dipstick tube until I achieved the proper level.
