Sup people, i would post in the tranny section but no one ever looks there so here it goes.... (sorry kinda long)

i notice when i floor my car it doesn't shift over so smoothly around certain speeds. example today driving down the 91 fwy (so cal) going slow (~20-30 mph), then i have a clearing so i punched it. as it car shifts around 40 mph it kinda hesitates before going, then it's fine. Now am i just trippin and feeling the V-Tec come into play or should i be worried. i wanted to make sure and tested it w/out punching the gas, so i took it easy and still i felt the shifting around 40mph was a little stalled (this time rpms weren't as high). any ideas, comments.

Hesitated after you stomped it and then the car went ?
Or
Hesitated between the 1-2 shift ?
Either way, 03 with 8900 miles should not have any kind of hesitation issue unless tranny is going ?

 

its vtec, i get the same thing, at 70 it just fucken leaps forward from the vtec

 

HMMM I MIGHT JUST BE MAKING IT MORE THAN IT IT.

I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS WEIRD THAT WHEN I TRIED IT AT LOWER SPEEDS AND LOWER RPMS (UNDER 4200) IT STILL SEEMED TO HESITATE WHEN IT HIT ABOUT 40 MPH.

40mph is changing into 2nd gear, its prob just finish off the vtec range

 

Are you talking about when you're cruising along in 4th, and then you give it WOT and the car downshifts? The hesitation before the shift? I always thought it was the ECU trying to figure out what you want.
