tranny problem potentially?

K so i'll make this quick

I noticed when the car is cold and I am going from 2nd to 3rd gear the revs go up a little like 2-300rpms and then go back down as they should into 3rd gear.
if you let go of the pedal you won't see it at all.

It's miniscule, But I like to know everything about my ride so nothing unexpected pops up.

It happens moreso when you do not move the pedal and it shifts into the next gear (3rd)

but when the car is fuly warm there is no issue at all.

It's has to do with the temp of the car/tranny i think.

WTF could it be.??

ONLY from 2nd to 3rd ONLY...

HELP PLZ
tranny fucked slightly on the car obv.. as these trannies all are. But i'm just wondering if I SHOULD expect something significant in the near future.

ALSO. when I RIP the the car from 2nd to 3rd it's fine 95% of the time.

once or twice I think it hit the limiter in 2nd for a milliseond IN AUTO not TIPTRONIC while shifting but nothing u could feel.

Anyhoo, just wondering what/if I should be doing anything to prevent further BULLOX.

thanks Aziners

most likely bc the fluid is cold and thick so it has a harder time getting to the clutch pack and through the valve body. id let go of gas right before the shift. but if u keep doing that when its cold it will cause more problems down the road.

I recently started seeing the same issue, mine is like a 400 rpm overshoot when the tranny is cold, and the actual shift time is ~2x slower for 2-3 than any other change.

Anyone else seen this? I hope it is not a precursor to fail!
