Tranny fluid?

What was the definitive answer to whether to use HONDA ATF or aftermarket ATF like RedLine?

I put Redline in my 6 speed, left it for 3 days, dumped it and replaced it with Honda MTL. Shifting was really harsh. The shifter felt like it was dragging in the gates.

I'd stick with Honda. In Canada it's $6/litre, so I'm assuming it's probably synthetic anyway.

I use valvoline synthetic ATF and I like it a lot better than the honda ATF. Screw the manual I don't even like the kind of oil it recomentd 5w-20

Use any dexron III ATF and your fine.

personally I'd put in Honda ATF because this whole recall deal. and plus if you follow directions in the manual the dealer can't say "we're not going to honor your warrenty cause you didn't put our ATF fluid in it "

its not like they can tell the difference between honda ATF and aftermarket. Hmmmm their both pink....

I know friends that swear by Redline ATF and Royal Purple Oil. Soooo much more money though at like $8 a quart! I'd rather just get my tranny flushed....
