Tranny Cooler
Guys, I did some searching on the forum, but wanted some opinions on a tranny cooler. I am at 112,000 in my 01 CL-S. I am getting the timing belt replaced, water pump, and plugs, and figured I would just do this as well. I saw comptech (120), B&M, and one other one for like 50 bucks. Has anyone else done this modification? Is it worth doing and is it a long install? Didn't seem like a timely install from the searches. Also is there any difference from Comptech to B&M, or is comptech just sticking it to us like they do for everything else. Not that they don't make quality product or anything, but I figured a tranny cooler is the same across the board. Any info is appreciated, thanks!

Blown is Best
The comptech kit uses the B&M cooler in it's kit. The Comptech kit includes all hoses and brackets to install the cooler cleanly without attaching it to the radiator. I fabricated my own brackets using alluminum and mounted it similarly to the Comptech setup. I personally think it's a worthwhile mod. I also flushed the system with Amzoil Synthetic ATF which is Z-1 rated nowdays. Shifts are more consistent - especially on a 100 degree day.
