And same here...

They first replaced my shifting solenoid, but it still wasn't shifting properly so they put in a new tranny and, I think, a new torque converter.

No problems here yet either, but it's only been about 750 miles probably. I feel the shift lever a bit tighter now when moving through the gears though, or maybe it's just me, but I think it does feel a bit more solid.</STRONG>

Agreed... definitely more solid.

There is also a member that lives in the Northern California Bay Area that had a tranny go bad. Something like DDS, he is a dentist...... Anyway, I have the 187th production CLS and have 32K miles and have had NO issues with my tranny. Changed my tranny oil for the "first" time at 30K ! I heard changing it too "soon" is not good. These are complicated transmissions ! However, I don't drive aggressive, nor like granny !

Wayne,
My service rep. recommended changing my tranny oil at 30K and not 15K, but also depends on your driving "conditions", NOT driving habits !
Agree or disagree ?

Mine started out to be nice and solid when i first had it replaced, now after about 3000 miles it has started to shift hard again, and shake at times, but no slipping or anything..I don't drive it that hard or anything like that, and hardly use SS..I just hope it holds up for now..there is no way i will keep this car outside of the warrenty, that is for sure!!

Umm... I think the problem is that you guys are being to abusive with the tranny. If you floor it a lot, it will cause the transmission to overheat and get damaged. For those of you that drive hard, you should get a tranny cooler, it's a great add-on. I know it's helped out the V6 Accord guys out a lot that have been having the same problems as you. Or actually prevented it from happening to others I should say. We have a V6 Accord in the family that I drove when I first got my license. I didn't know about the weak tranny on the car and I would always like to floor it and downshift and so on. The tranny hasn't gone out, but now the shifts are very jerky. I'm trying to convince my dad to sell it before it gets stuck in a gear and have that problem stuck with us. And I know using SS to downshift is hard on your transmission also. My advice would be to only use sport shift to race, not to slow down.
