trading in 350z for CL...???

Hey Guys,

I just joined the forum to get some opinions on CL owners, because of my recent engagement to my girlfriend and a recent purchase of a house I am thinking of giving up my baby (touring Nismo 350z) for a 02 Cl with Navigation. The dealer is selling it for $18,000, Is it a good price? and what should/shouldn't I expect from the car? (besides the 300hp vs 225hp difference).

Any advice, comments, questions about the z is welcome,

thanks,

frans

you should be able to get a cl type s with low miles for around that price. I would definitely say go for a type s...

You are possbily the first person on this board to go from a 350Z to a CL. Not sure you would be too happy with that switch. At least look for a CLS

hahaha...You guys probably think I'm crazy, but I live in NYC and I only drive that car when I know I can get parking, because when you get street parking you are bound to get crazy bumber rash. Also between me and my girl, we have 4 cars.

$18k for 23,800 miles on an 02 w/ navi sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

yup, sounds like a good deal.

4 cars in NYC.....probably pay more in parking than some of us pay in rent.

yea, I only have a 2 car driveway so the others are on the street, It sucks on alternate side parking days because I have to wake up earlier just to move them.

they are offering me $27,000, I know I can sell it for more but I save on the taxes when I trade it in and also I'm gonna part the Nismo Exhaust for like $500, so it about adds up.

That's a first, trading a 350 in for a CL. Just keep the 350, I don't see why you'd go to a CL when you have all those other cars you listed.

Yea, but after the Z goes, I have no "fun" car and if I buy another 2 seater, she's gonna kill me, so I thought the CL would be the "best bang for the buck"

an 02 cl-s with navi could be had for very close to the same price if you look around a bit.. definitely go with the cl-s, if you have the means

I love the new audi's look interior and exterior but you guys ever drive one, I drove my cousin's 03 A4 with sports package, besides being a really heavy car, that thing floats like crazy, NOt inpressed at all with the power and handling on those cars. And those things are $$$$ to fix, a clutch cost $500 just the part no labor.

beats a grand cherokee and a 626 though

if I was you I would look elsewhere than a 02 cl if this is going to be your fun sports car. they aren't really that fast, and the autos aren't that much fun to drive.

03 for sale in the black market.... http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146769

And you can save some money if you sell the Z out right and pay for this one.

35hp and some torque, perforated seats on the 03's, different suspension setup, I also think there are a couple engine parts that are different.

Someone else will know more.

do yall plan on having kids right away? if so get the 03 tl-s with navi.

there are a lot of cl owners switching to 4 door sedan when they get married or have new borns...

otherwise you will be in this predicament all over again

If you do have a family car and just want something for you and the wife then you should spend a little bit more for the type s model and try to get an 03

and if you like to drive a stick its only available on the 03 models...

Get a 2003 6 speed manual CL Type S. It's the best CL.
