Traction Issues
I took a road trip today from my house to just north of Nashville and back. I found something very interesting when I got up to Nashville while waiting on my Brother (we work together).
I stopped and filled up near Rivergate Mall while freezing, for me. The OAT was reading 22 F and I am about 600 feet lower elevation. So as leaving and down the street a bit I decided to get on it in part of 1st. That was worthless as it simply spun.
So I am just cruising and testing a few things. I leave it in 2nd and floor it, the car takes off. But what I noticed is that when it hit just over 5k revs it started seriously loosing traction. By the time 6500 revs hit there was no traction..
This leads me to believe that with this unusual power, start spinning later in the rev band, the lower end torque from the SC must make the first couple of gear worthless.... Of which we shall soon see as negotiations have commenced.
