You've probably already said this, but I'm going to ask again. After all your mods how much have you picked up from stock?

I'd go if it's done on a weekend... I rarely get home until 7pm on workdays and I live in NW Indiana.

Speaking of which... I seem to remember back in early Spring, the plan was to meet down at the US 41 track first thing in the morning. Dom and I went... But SPIROH, who was supposed to show, didn't... Too much drinking the night before!!!

Well a stock car runs about a 14.9-15.1 depending on weather, & traction. So he gained about .3 - .5 of a sec. Seems low to me, should have gotten better times then that.

nice time, but with the mods you have you should be hitting high 13's...did you get your v-afc tuned?? if you haven't you should get that shit done right away, i say its best bang for the buck since you already have most basic mods...with i/h/e/p/cams in my prelude i jumped 15 hp top end and around 7-10 hp midrange after dyno tuning...it'll do fukn wonders...anyways props to you...

When you put it on the dyno you only got 225hp? I thought stock was 260. I know it should not be stock but that seems like a big loss.

Without some nitrous or a blower that is.

The 260hp is at the fwhp....his 225 was on a dyno and that's to the wheels (rwhp). Every car loses hp to the wheels (anywhere from about 10-13% for a manual and 15-18% for an auto).

Correction the 260 is not fwhp it is flywheel HP, the 225 would be to the wheels or FWHP. RWHP is only for rear wheel drive cars.

Rice Haters Club...hmmmm must be a MustangWorks.com guy.

Play nice on other people's boards.

After all, my stock GS will kill a stock 5.0!!!

OK.. I'm sorry... I had to reply... you are too funny. FWHP is an abbreviation for FlyWheel HP..... I understand how you can also get front wheel HP out of that, but if you read the whole post it's clear he's talking about the flywheel.

As for the rice haters club... i'm a member too. I hate rice... especially on our cars... and I'm from this board, so that's irrelivant... plus... he has a TL also, not just a Mustang.

Five-oh... do me a favor... take it easy on here. There are a lot of sensative people on here who do not respond well to sarcasm...they take a lot of things seriously.... especially when it comes to the CL.... didn't you know that we can beat almost any car stock vs. stock??

Mattg has one of the fastest CLs around, and he probably will break into the high 13's soon.... he's also one of the most serious people on this board. He works hard to make his car go fast. He's one of the 2% of people on this board who can hang with the big boys...most others are just shit talkers and magazine racers.... so he's the real deal, and one of the few, so, even though you were just joking with him, give him some slack

That's cool. It's all good. You know I've got a TL and I love it.....I've also got a mean lx 5.0. I respect both of them.

I'm not on this site, and I don't think the other stang guys are on this site to start trouble....we're not the ones posting stories of how we've bashed a CLS or TLS, but we do step in and offer our opinions when we think we smell BS. It's fine that you guys have or think you have beaten a 5.0 or 4.6 stock or not, but it's just ridiculous when there are statements made how slow stangs are and how they "ain't nothing", and how they're the slowest V8's ever.......I mean those types of comments are just ridiculous, ignorant, and flat out not true. I know the forum states "true or fictional" stories, but please try to make them a little more believable......cause whether you guys are stock or not stock and you "race" and beat a stock 4.6 or 5.0 stang, it won't be by a mile......it'll be damn close. Peace.

On most boards, and in my experience FWHP has always meant front wheel HP, just as RWHP is rear wheel HP. I've been modding front wheel drive cars since the late 80's. But hey, you guys might do it different on this board...so...My bad.

As far as giving fiveoh-tl some jibing, it is just in fun. I didn't intend to offend anyone. I actually miss my 5.0. Most Stang guys I know are cool, and respect all cars that are quick, they like most of you I'm sure, just don't like the posers, regardless of the make of car they drive.

Amen, Dave!

I like many cars.......especially fast ones.
I think the confusion w/ the fwhp and rwhp is that the power to the pavement depends on if the car's front wheel drive or rear wheel drive. So, in a rear wheel drive car, we call it rwhp and refer to flywheel hp as fwhp........but in a front wheel drive car (CLS etc) the power to the pavement is fwhp. It's all semantics basically. Later.
