Track Night: Times Inside

Pretty good weather tonight. 70 degrees, 46% humidity.

I had excellent launches, I think my best ever but the power wasn't there at the end. It wasn't the IMRC (my numbers aren't off by THAT much). The track was so busy I could only get 2 runs in the 2 and a half hours I was there. I have a feeling I set my tire pressure too low and that hurt my MPH at the end. I did have my best ET ever though. I checked my slips from the past and I swore I had a 14.21 but it was a 14.297. Tonight I ran 14.28 but I was more than 1 MPH slower than my previous best. I have installed the UR pulleys since then too. Must have been the tire pressure. Had it at like 22-23.

I was hoping to get more runs in. I had to wait 90 minutes between runs! It doesn't help when a 800 whp Supra hits both walls and is totaled! Forgot to bring the camera,

Well see it wasn't 23psi at cold pressure... it was a 30 mile drive there, the tires were really hot so 23 psi was really more like 18psi COLD PRESSURE. I should have kept them around 25.

Torque brake to 2000-2250rpm. Gate shift at redline. Never hit the limiter. Right around 7100 each shift.

I thought I heard some pinging on my last run though Near the very end of the 1/4 mile. Didn't hear anything on the way home though. Cranked it all the way to redline in 3rd with no problems. Did that 3 times so

Great times for an auto. Gotta love that 60' time. This sounds backwards but a good 60' will actually lower your trap speed but improve your 1/4 mile time.

damn u have an intake, headers, exhaut, chip, and a pulley and it doesnt get u a 13.9.

im not too familiar one what we should be running with those mods, but it seems like a lot of money spent for just a 1/2 second or so.

congrats nonetheless.

Don't know about that. Why should I be? No one else is?

Although Matt is going to the track today

I'm actually about to wash the CL and head back for 12:00 test and tune.

A few more runs before the boost!

Also I'm going to get another dyno done to see what is gained by the UR pulleys. The only dyno i've seen is from a stock CL-S6 vs CL-S6 w/pulleys.

Then the blower goes on in about 3 weeks!

If you haven't noticed, our cars are damn heavy. Getting them off the line is a bitch! I have dropped close to 7/10ths off my stock time. But I've gone from 92MPH to 99MPH. I'd much rather do that. Shows my mods really are making alot more power than the stocker.

With some SSRs or Centerlines on drag radials, maybe even just the Conti's I'd probably hit a 13.9 but i'm still on factory rims.

easier said than done but it might be possible, i say if u catch the track on a day where its under 60 deg u can go 13.9 w/ al the bolt ons
