Track Mods

Firstly, my apologies if this message in in the wrong forum; most of the discussions in this forum are related to drag racing - my question has to do with track (road) racing.

I've a bone stock '01 Cl-S, and took it to a track day last month. Track is just over a mile long, and is quite tight. First time on the track (with any car) - and had a BLAST!

Car did quite well - I was able to pass some cars which should have been much faster than mine. That being said however, its not exactly an ideal track car; somewhat weak brakes and less than stellar grip in the corners come to mind.

I have a question to any others out there who may have tracked their car - where can I get the most bang for the buck in reducing my track lap times??? Perhaps stiffer/lower springs - perhaps wider (and stickier) tires (and new rims so the wider tires would fit) - perhaps different rotors and/or pads??

Any experiences welcome.

FYI - if your interested, here's a link to some pictures from the track day, there's a good picture there of me passing a Porsche.
