Watch the pressure too...
If you driving "Red Hot", you might want to think about:
1. Rotating often (said and said).
2. Moving the pressures up and checking them more often (especially if your going to meet Mario up in the hills...)![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
3. Alignment check…
For the 235/45-17 Toyo T1S, 35PSI is minimum (some Toyo Kamikazes had wear problems at 35PSI (and less) and moved the pressure up) . Best lateral forces (for me) seem to be around 40/39 (front/rear) or 39/28 (front rear).
Pressure should be checked DEAD cold (before leaving your "place" or at least check the pressure at your "place" in the AM (dead cold) and see how much it goes up to your gas station.
IMO, check the alignment. (I'm not saying you have a problem, but it should be checked once the springs settle or in the first year or two [factory springs settle]).
One of the members with mixed driving (city, highway, with some twisty action) got around 25K on the tires with even wear…

Thanks EricL,
I know alignment probably isnt the issue because I have that done 2 or 3 times a year in the racing season...
The tire pressure maybe one thing, but they seem to grip real well at 30psi, so that is where I leave it. The real true culprit to this tire wear may be a combination of lower pressure and excessive drifting![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I can't rotate the tires because they are staggered. I have 18" wheels in the back and 17" -ers in the front. Yea... my car is retarted looking.
:P

Never hit a curb.
This is a result of low tire pressure and autocrossing. I left the rears at 30psi to maintain grip and when I did a lot of drifting and hard cornering, the tires started to wear on the edges.

I didn't realize he was autoXing!!
If it was just straight tire wear then looking at his tires from the rear they would look somthing like this:
\ / <=== Positive Camber
If he had inside tire wear then they would look something like this:
/ \ <=== Negative Camber
Yeah, I am a rocket scientist!!! A brain surgeon on the weekends!!!!
