Toyo t1-s vs Michelin pilot

I have narrowed it down...

I can get either for the same price right now....

If you ever plan to drive in the rain, get the toyos.
If you want MAX dry weather performance (maybe 5-10% better than the toyos), get the Michelins.
If you care about tire life at all, get the toyos.

only have experience with sports, and they are good but will wear fast and sqeauk like crazy when cornering. too much grip though.

if you don't track your car, and I mean autoX or road course (drag racing doesn't count), why do you need such a high performing and high priced tire for street use? I just don't get this.

the cornering and general handling characteristics of the Toyos have been great.

The number one reason I bought them was weight and they were only $156 mounted and warranted. But they are now around $187 and I won't be going back to them . . traction under hard acceleration isn't that good. I was able to break the tires loose this weekend from a 30mph punch and when I hit 2nd they spin . . . and I don't mean a chip, they spun.

I had the Toyo's. They are great tires. Don't know how they compare to the Pilots though. I almost never broke them loose with normal driving. They were fine at the track too with 26PSI.

I love my toyo's but don't have any experience with the michelins. This tire is great at the track, and rain, and wear decent for soft compound.

There not to the wear bar yet . . and as you stated, in dry even down to the wear bar there would be more rubber on the ground. So I should spin less if that the right theory.

I'm not convinced that the Toyos are a great drag tire. There great for cornering and such, just not hard straight line acceleration.

I need to bring my 60' down from 2.35 on stock tires. I was going to buy toyo's because they are cheap, but is the consensus, that they are inferior to pilots at the dragstrip?

what tires do I need to run a 2.1 60'?

There ok. Not as much grip as the Toyo's. I don't need an All season either. I'll wear them out first though before replacing them. BBsAcuraRacing is comparing the regular summer Pilot sport. Which I never had.
