So the tranny died, took it to Fresno acura and the guy calls me back saying my front motor mount is torn....$398.89 to replace? What causes that to happen and is that a decent price to get it fixed? Thanks guys.

alot of people who had there auto trannies replaced also had the Mounts replaced because many times the mounts get torn in correlation.

 

Yes mounts should also be replaced as part of the tranny replacement. Call Acura if the dealer will not honor it.

 

That sounds about right. They quoted me 700 for 2, front and side. If you are looking for a good fix after they do the service, get a comptech tranny cooler. If you want a more permanent fix, i found that the 04 - 07 accord 6mt will bolt right up and its cheaper than a cl-s tranny; 3400 for the cl-s, 2300 for the AV6. Im not too sure if all the shift linkage is compatible as im not that far into the research yet.

 

Fuzzy - If I read through the warranty pages here on the site would I find where it says that they have to or "just do" replace the mounts? I have to be on watch from 1830-0630 so I'll have time to find it I suppose. That way when I go up there tomorrow or the next day I can say "look fuckers"..... Thanks guys!
