Tools needed for spring install?
I'm thinking about installing the H&R springs myself to save some $$$. Everywhere that I ask, they want $350-$500 to install them.
Other than the obvious wrenches and drivers, what other tools would I need? Which is easier...front or rear? I could do at least half of it and pay someone else to do the hard part.

A good metric socket set
Jack
Jack stands
Spring compressor
WD-40
This is all I can think of off the top of my head.
Hint..... Dealing with the lower control arm is a bitch. Be patient.

Open Spanner Wreches
Ratchets
Mallet
Jack and stands

I also highly recommend air tools and a torque wrench and maybe antiseize for future jobs.
Spring Compressors can be rented. Make sure you get the Strut SPring Compressor NOT the coil spring compressor
A friend and I finished my car in 2 hours (we've had prior experience).
I have a DIY coming soon, just finished writing it.

Thanks guys...awesome stuff. NiteQwill, if you get that manual done in the next week or so let me know. damn..2 hrs
I'm definitely a DIY'er - but I always hesitate with this type stuff. Springs are a biatch.....but it is enticing to invest the money I would've paid for labor and buy a air gun, jack stands, etc.
