well in my 1997 3.0 cl w/ seat warmers and leather,etc..
i took on a 91 maxima-- pulled up to a stop light, he revved his engine.. and i thought, hey sure why not-- (even though we were right by a cop station..i had my radar detector and it works just fine..) green light.. i pull ahead about 3-4 feet by about 30 mph, at 40mph, i'd say i had a car length and from that he was gone, had no chance...

took him on a couple more stop lights-- he almost took me one of them because i was talking to my passenger and didnt get a good start.. but i still caught up

yeah..my stories aren't amazing but hey.. i had fun :P

 

was he auto or 5 speed? A 91 has 160 hp stock. They tend to have some nice low end torque though. I ran against my roommates cousin's CL the other day and we were dead even, but had to shut down just when I hit 3rd cause it was too dangerous to be doing. I think his was a 97-98ish CL, I'll have to find out. Good run, just make sure you keep it safe.

haha, i just have to mention this now
i was driving about 45 in a 35-- next to a guy i know who was driving a truck.. he was swirving in and out of lanes, driving on the wrong side of the road-- and my radar detector goes off, i quickly slow to 35 and the guy is still swerving.. AND going about 50 mph.. yet the cop just sits there.. does not get him.. it simply amazed me that he could have missed that.
