Car is going in to Acura of Sarasota for the headers tomorrow. I know I am paying a bit more than Dean can do, but the dealer is going to stand behind the whole deal. I am looking forward to taking the car for a nice test drive after the install!

1200 for headers and 3 hours labor at whatever the rate is. Should be less than 250 for the install.

 

1200 total? that's not that bad considering the lowest price I've seen for Comptech headers (a long time ago) was $999. So at the most you're paying $200 for the install and piece of mind knowing their work is warrantied.

 

Ah no, 1200 for the headers plus the install. The current pricing is ~1130 from Dean plus install. So, I am paying about 100 more for the headers (including tax) plus install. But they will warranty the work.

I wish it was only 1200 total.

besides I am new in town here and have no idea who to take the car to other than the dealer - hey at least I get a free car wash and free coffee and bagels when I drop it off...plus a loaner

I was one of the first to jump all over the 999 shipped, I am still amazed at how the cost is still high... they should be around 7-800 since they got released over a year ago..Oh well...

I hear you. It is outrageous, but since the cost is already high, it is a hell of a lot easier to just go to the dealer and get the work done. I wonder how much they want to do the S/C... I have not seen the headers anywhere for less than 1130 shipped in the past few month.

I just ordered them yesterday from Dean, including the Ice box. I plan on installing them myself. I have lots of tools and I am mechanically inclined. anything I should look out for?

 

We actually have them for $1121 shipped.. and you just missed a group-buy where we had them around $1070 shipped.
