wow... same cars (used to have a 99 F23a4) same suspension (got eibachs wraped with tokico on my CLS) and I live in the east bay... :phatyo: if you were only better looking, I'd think you were me just fu(kin around (don't even know what you look like).

Nice drop. How smooth is it with the stock 17s? I got 18s on me. Are the tokicos adjustable?

yes yes, it shall be dropped! I got the springs already as albert said above me, but I don't really want to use my stock accord shocks. I talked to a rep at Eibach and he said the CL-S shocks on my car would do just fine for both comfort as well as handling...

Ya know, It's my hunch that only the front shocks would need to be upgraded.

Get some Koni yellows up front with the new springs, keep stock in the rear. Worse case is you get konis for the rear later down the road, and The rears are the easiest to swap out so you shouldn't be wasting much in labor costs. You can honestly swap the rears out yourself with tools that the average Joe would have. No spring compressers are needed for aftermarket springs on our car. well that's true for Comptechs at least.

Good point. Perhaps I should get Illumina's up front and CL-S stockies in the rear? I can't afford koni's hehe...

Not only is this not right but it is also dangerous. Having an uneven amount of compression and rebound in shocks that are not made to handle the increase (or decreased) spring rate in a vehicle can lead to consequences when trying to avoid an accident, animal, person, etc. Not to mention having negative braking effects. Also, leading to traction problems in the rain. If you can't afford it at the moment, don't pay for it later in an accident. If you're going to do it, do it right.

Did you install the tokico's yourself? I've got them on my CL and don't know how to access the backs to adjust the stiffness. Kind of a Noob question but, hey, I've only had my CL for 2 months. Does anyone have any idea how I could access the top of my rear shocks without jacking up the car and removing the wheel?

You gotta take out your back seats. If you look at where your seat belts retract, righit in front of that is the shock tower...

well, from what my friend told me, you gotta pop off the bottom part first. it's really simple, just press in and pull up. then there's a bunch of bolts to unscrew to take off the top/back portion of the seat. I don't know specifics because he did it before i got to his house. I dunno why Honda made it so hard to get to this area in the CL. In my Accord all you do is just fold the seats down LOL.

Damn... mine are at 5 (at least my fronts are). I was considering lowering it to 4.
