tmk70's CL-S Wrecked!!

Todd just called me from the Emergency Room at the hospital...his CL-S was wrecked by a drunk. He's fine, but his neck's a little sore. He was about to get into a cab to go home, so he'll probably be checkin' in with us soon. The funny thing, if there is anything funny about this, is that he was more worried that the CT sways he was sellin' me were OK...they were in the trunk. I'll probably be going to see him and his car tomorrow to take some pics. :shakehd:

Sorry to hear that, tell him best of luck and hope he's ok.

Wasn't he about to get a G35?

Yeah, his G35C is due in early-July. Don't know what he's gonna do til then, though. If my girl's Jetta were running better, I'd lend him my CL-S for a couple weeks.

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. I'm at home and it's really starting to hurt now...not just the pain, but seeing my car completely ruined. I must say, the thing is a TANK and did me very well in that wreck.

The guy that hit me is in jail....he blew a 2.0 on the breathalyzer and was on several psychiatric medications....all of which intensify the effects of alcohol. I'm very happy to be alive and, for the most part, well. I will post some pics when I go over to see the car tomorrow. The Autobody guy thinks it's a total since both airbags deployed, the engine dropped, and the hood is totally buckled. I just want it to be paid off....of course, chances are I'll be calling my Attorney, Jackie Chiles....this was ridiculous, egregious, PREPOSTEROUS!!!!!

Thanks again guys...Pete, I'll c ya tomorrow...gimme a call.

I'm very glad to hear you're ok. I hope they nail this dipshit.

Bummer about the car. I couldn't imagine how i'd feel if i ever had to give her up, much less lose her in an accident out of nowhere.

sorry to hear about that , but at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been, you're alive, and not hospitalized. At least you don't have to worry about trying to find a new car all of the sudden, you got that taken care of.

Sorry about your accident. Why can't people just be more responsible when they drive? I hope you feel better soon. Good luck with everything.

I rode with Todd in his fancy-ass rental...a Silver Dodge Stratus 2-door, which doesn't look entirely horrible, but...

Anyway, we went to look at the car, but the gates were locked. However, we could still see it from about 75 - 100 feet away. I took some pics, but I haven't put 'em up yet. What I can tell you is that the hood is buckled at a nice, sharp angle. The front is lookin' really wrecked, although the rims look ok. I have a feeling, given that the airbags deployed, requiring that the entire restraint system be replaced, that the car will be totalled. I can't imagine all the work needed in the bay to get the car back in the excellent shape it was in. For cryin' out loud, one could eat off the engine in his car...it was clean as a motherf*cker!!

We'll probably take more pics from up close tomorrow.

Cat's neck is hurtin', too. He looked real stiff-like this afternoon.

Ain't that the truth I have so much shit to do tomorrow...I have to go to my Dr. to get checked out again, I have to deal with my insurance company, I have to go to the police station to pick up my full report of what happened. I have secured an attorney who will be calling me on Tuesday. Well, at least I have a hot Dodge to tool around in.

Thanks for stopping by today, Pete....it was good to have visitors!!!

Todd... glad you're doing OK. Rest up and feel better.

BTW, don't talk about the lawsuit too much on here... wouldn't want to fuck it up and get the guy off on a technicality. Good luck and get well....

just want it to be paid off....of course, chances are I'll be calling my Attorney, Jackie Chiles....this was ridiculous, egregious, PREPOSTEROUS!!!!!
Tell me we did not hire Mr. Chiles?
If he was drunk, he's a punk! My client got bashed, dear jury, make him cashed!

Then again, maybe it would be a good idea...
Glad you're largely okay.
