Tl -s Type X 3.5

I was just at Acura having my CIA sawed down for the bypass valve and thier next to mine was a blue 2002 TL with the 3.5 L upgrade. Lemme tell you that puppy is phat, it was all decked out. I dunno what they were working on with the engine but every mechanic was over there which gave me my minimal attention. If you are in ft laud and the owner of a blue bad ass 3.5 TL S type X which is i guess what they labled them on the back, you are the man!!! What sweet engine work was done to that car.

Yea i asked Doug from Rick Case Honda where all my mod work is done and thats exactly what it was. For only 4,000-5,000 more, which i wish i had, i might have done the same thing, so far only praise from the limited owners of them.

I wonder if they could also hook us up with the HLSD so all that power can be of more use and hopefully the tranny will survive longer.

I agree. Especially since at $40k, the price would be equivalent to a 330ci with some minor mods or an E36 m3 with lotsa mods.

You are comparing two completely different cars. I'm not taking the TL-S/X to the laguna seca for racing. As matter of fact, most M3 drivers aren't either. Majority of drivers only use straight line speed anyway. I'm concerned with straight line speed at in intersection, merging on the highway, passing on the highyway, winter driving etc., Why would I pay the extra insurance on the 2 door sport coupe when i can get excellent performance out the 4 door?

I shoulda said 330i Zapata. I'd rather have a fast car that handles well, brakes well, etc. than a car that is fast, with sucky handling and brakes if both were 40k.

It's not about if it's worth it or not. It's about seeing the expression on the face of the poor SOB that you just smoked

Geeze. When did the TLS handeling start to suck?????? You people on think this a car from the 70's or something. Although the TLS isn't a BMW it's isn't as SUCKY as you seem to think.

Wrong. Resale on a TLS is top notch. Moreover, you NEVER get your money back on performance mods unless you were to sell part by part.

The CL and TL are boats. Maybe not Buick LeSabre or Century territory, but they're pretty big. Compound that with FWD and 63/37 weight distribution and you've got a pretty poor handling vehicle. Now I love my car just as much as you guys, but I also did not buy the car for the slalom. I bought it because it was the only FWD luxo coupe I could find, that also provided with decent value. I would not want this car if it had 300 hp and costed $40k. Might as well just buy an almost-as-fast 330Ci, that handles better and brakes better.

Ok I guess it's matter of preference.
