Tire Question for 03 owners

When I bought my tires and wheels from tire rack they said they could only put 225/45/18's on my car because they were the only ones that met the load ratings for the car. I now many of you have 225/40/18's on your cars, so here is the questions. Have you had any problems with that size? Any bent rims? I have 18x8 wheels, can I put 235's on the car? What ratio would you go with if you did put 235's on?

Thanks for you imput.....

acctually i dont know of anyone on the board with 235/45/18's on the board....many have 225/40's 235/40's and i think a couple have 225/45
imo 235/40 on an 18 would be the way to go

Dude, I bought my rims and tires from Tirerack also. They called me after i ordered the rims and told me that, "the tires you selected have not been tested on that rim. I told them to just put it on and they did. I got my SSR GT1's with Kumho 235/40/18.

Any problems with rubbing, because I am thinking about getting that size. It is the closest to the stock rims/tires for size(diameter, radius, ect.) In fact, it is so close, your speedometer error is only .1 mph.
