Tire Problem????Kumhos
Tire Problem????Kumhos
I ordered some Kumho Ecsta 712's 215/45/17 to fit the stock rims because my MichMxM4's are bald. But the tirerack is calling me giving me some crap, about how the tires are not up to our load rating. Should I get them anyway. I really need tires now, I can't drive down I-10 at over 55mph without the VSA going off and my car floating around like a boat. Any problems with the Kumho's blowing out? Any other suggested tires that are in our load rating.
I had my Kumhos Supra Ecsta for almost 5 months and put 5K miles on them, and i never had a problem whatsoever. I can tell u that the stock tires vs the Kumho is like night and day. The Kumho just gripppsss on dry and wet. I ordered my tire on Discount Tire Direct and they never told me about those load rating, they just told me that if I'm going for 45 series tire i had to choose the next widest to 215 which is 225or235 so it wouldn't throw my speedo off.

My CL-S is not drop yet but it's a coming project, our stock wheels is 17X7; some people in the board went 225 or 235 on a stock rims. The 235 is the widest you can go for the CL-S rims, and I never heard of CL-S owner putting 245 in 17X7 rims that's to much unless it's 17X7.5 or 8... I'm pretty sure you will not rub on stock rims with 215/45/17 with prokit, but pretty sure it might throw of your speedo calibration; correct me if I'm wrong guys...
