i was looking at the new Nitto neo gen tires and does anybody know what the suggested load rating is for the 6 speed cl-s or heard anything about these tires?

 

Well, the tire load has to do with the weight of the car and the weight of the cargo the car carries. I don't have a CL, but the TL weights about the same, we have 93 load rating. But I got kumho 712 with 91 load rating. I think it was about 40 lbs. less per tire, so it like 200 lb less carring capacity. I don't carry a lot of stuff or have many passengers in my car, so it didn't really affect me.

 

For type-s it is 93 for cl-p it is 91. I used 91 on cls with no problem so far.

 

does neo gen have a size that fits the CLS? it is a 4-season tire, no?

 

the neo gen is supposed to be the new high performance all-season tire. There's a 225/45ZR17 size that should fit stock rims. http://www.neogentire.com/ . i'm not too sure how the tread life will be on them, but if anyone has heard anything else about them lemme know.
