Tips on stock mufflers?

I dunno if this is a dumb question but. Can i weld on aftermarket tips on the stock mufflers? Is it simple to do?

Any halfway decent muffler shop shoudl be able to do it with no prob.

Dem1K (john who no longer has a CL) had porsche tips welded I believe.

Going for a Maxima look?

The tips the CL-S has stock look great, IMO. Odd they're welded on when the TL's are bolted on.
