Tips to reduce wheel hop/spin from 1st to 2nd?

In this video you will see what cannot be unseen

I've heard good things about using torque dampers, NRG or ingalls

Has anyone ever ran ebay torque dampers?

In concept they should all do the same thing..
i've seen people who made torque dampers out of bike springs xD

Would a small tire/rim diameter improve handling?
Thinking about going to 16" rims

stiffer engine mounts?

I'm trying to be cheap so torque dampers seem like teh best route

I would start by using the "advanced" search button and read up, and dont be cheap. 99.5% of the time i have zero hop, and i dont have engine dampers. Worn out suspension bushings will cause it, shocks will cause it, worn out engine mounts will cause it. If you have it, especially on the 1-2 shift you have stuff worn out. As for wheel spin, Bigger/wider and better tires will help but only to a point. I have 255/35/18s and i can (when clutch was newer) get them to spin on occasion going into 3rd.

Stiff coilovers and mounts will help alot.
Reducing tires air pressure will help too.
I would not even bother with upgrading the engine dampers.
Just a extra piece to fail and have problems with.wether it's leaks or noisy parts I would not want to waste money on one.
Some people might aurgue there damper does something but,I'm not buying one anytime soon.

Go after mounts and coilovers.

What's your current front tires air pressure ?

Ah I see! If i would have used the advanced search I wouldn't get all this information all in one post! It's like I hit the lottery

That makes me worry though what you are telling me, so my 6 speed CLS is not supposed to be hopping or spinning tires if parts were not worn out

Looks like i've got some repairs to do

I see thanks for the info!

So new mounts (or filling the stock moutns with polyurethane?), changing the coils, bushings struts will help my wheel spin?

I always thought wheel hop was a problem for the CLS6 I guess I shouldn't be experiencing this phenomenon if my car was in good shape =[

Tire pressure I used to run 40-45 psi

But i've moved back down to what the sticker says on the door jam. I believe 32.5 PSI

Thanks for this! Cheap too! All for that Lol.
Problem is some are complaining about how it affects the drivability/smoothness/shakiness, but i'll look into it thanks!
