timing belt tensioner or tranny slip??
i received the timing belt tensioner and oil jet recall letters a long time ago but never thought anything of it. recently i have been noticing this problem and was wondering if it had anything to do with the tensioner. mainly at highway speeds.. when i go to accelerate there is a sudden jerk.. like a belt is being abruptly pulled or something.. before it downshifts and starts to accelerate. its very similar to when u have the a/c on and you try to accelerate.. there is this sudden hesitation jerk before the shift.. anyone know what im talkin about??? could this be a transmission problem?? it doesnt feel like the tranny is slippin tho.. any help is appreciated

Did you take the car to acura and get the recalls done? If not you should take to acura and have them perform that service and while they are at it, they should test drive your car based ono your complaint of it shifting very hard.

yea you should take it to your nearest acura dealer. Try not to put it off. I know that some acura dealers are on back order for the timing belt tensioner. And you should have acura test drive your vehicle after they perform the service.
