That's actually not a bad price... I've been quoted $600 from an independant, and the dealers usually want $1000 or more where I am to do the timing belt, change the waterpump, etc (105K service).

I was quoted at $1200 from Acura and $680 from Honda for timing belt/water pump. Honda did it and it ended up being like $720 with tax.

That's not bad if it includes everything.

That's interesting... I'm surprised at the difference... Figured honda would be cheaper, but not that much...

Yes, i laughed when Acura told me $1200. When Honda told me $680 and i told them what Acura wanted, he laughed too once he realized i was serious.

My guy is a honda tech that does work on the side, so he's a little cheaper than just bringing it into the dealer, but not that much cheaper...

I paid under $700 with tax from a Honda certified shop near my house.... he was running a special... that was for the TB, water pump and all the belts.... that was about 6mths ago...and no problems at all!

the timing belt on my CLS6 was done 2 months before i purchased it. Receipt says $750 for parts + labor from acura dealer in Greenville SC. Good price. I'd go with the dealer for that price, especially if any issues arise later from the work performed.
