ticking sound when idle??... timing belt recall??
when i'm sitting in idle, i can hear this ticking noise going off in the engine bay, only when idle. when i gas it its gone. it sounds like the timing belt is "squeaking" or something. i remember a recall for the timing belt awhile back. could this have anytihng to do with it?? is it even dangerous at all? i hate bringin the car in for just checkups like this. anyone know??

There are a bunch of people, including myself, who have had this problem. If it is the same thing that I am hearing, then it is not the timing belt. It is some kind of valve in the air intake. It is normal and there is nothing you can/should do about it.
