ticking noise.. could it from the valve train?
It was hot, I opened the hood, the engine is idling just fine, but with a ticking noise coming from the engine. The noise is not that loud, but still it is audible..
What do yoy think?

If its not the flux capacitor, check the valve clearances
Sounds like the valves need to be adjusted, how many miles on your ride? Last oil change?

36.5k miles. Last oil change was at 35250 miles. I do use FI cleaner if this helps....
When the valave adjustment is needed? is it a warranty problem?

First I would determine if it is in fact the valves and not the injectors you are hearing. Temp does not matter in this case.
Get the car warmed up and pop the hood, you should hear a slight "plastic" sounding tick (somewhat fast in duration). That's the injectors!
If you hear a longer metallic sounding tick, then it's prob the valve clearances. It's not uncommon to have a few clearances out of spec at 36K causing some ticking. Might be worth having the dealer do the adj. unless you can tackle the VTEC system.

No major maintenance on the car is required for 100K....I highly doubt it is out valves...as they are self-adjusting. I think it is as xenon mentioned the fuel injectors.

I always get a kick out of the statement "No maint required until 100K". If only that were 100% true!
Anyway........
Self Adjusting system, true- but mechanical things do wear and make problems. But in this case Nashua_Night_Hawk, I would say that its the injector impluses you are hearing.
Do you have a stethoscope? you can use this to put an ear
on it and listen.
